Recent Cakes

Here are some recent cakes. It has been birthday season for me, so I have been having fun carving and sculpting some unusual shaped cakes. Wedding season is just a few weeks away then it will be back to more classical round and square cakes with a couple of topsy turvy thrown in for fun.

The design for this cowgirl/western cake was taken from her invitation

My first pillow cake for a 13th birthday 'pretty in pink' party for a dancer

Another beer cake. Such a good cake for a bloke who loves his beer. When I delivered this they could hardly believe it was cake.

The iconic Busselton Jetty made of cake

A suprise for Karl who's 40th present is a snowboarding trip to Japan next year.

A cake for a Eric who enjoys running and playing his guitar

And who doesn't love spongebob, I know I do...

Car Cakes

Car cakes, a perfect solution when you want to buy a loved one a car they they have wanted forever without having to spend thousands. Also great for someone who is in love with their own car. This cake was made for a Torana lover. His daughter who ordered the cake just told me, 3 days after he got it that he still won't let anyone cut it!

What do you get a bloke for his birthday? Alcohol, so what cake do you get for a bloke? Alcohol...

I love making realistic cakes (well as realistic as it can be - it's still cake after all). Alcohol ones are a great idea for a bloke who for obvious reasons doesn't want a pretty cake with a bow.

Everything is edible, even the wood look on the board is icing. Prices start at $200 for one of these cakes

Thanks to everyone who stopped for a chat and a piece of cake at the Sanctuary Bridal fair on Sunday. We had a great day and were overwhelmed with all the positive comments. My apologies if I take my time getting back to some email enquiries, so far I am keeping up but with cakes and children taking up a lot of time I usually reply to emails on my 'office' days Monday and Tuesdays

The Toadstool and the Octopus

I get asked to do quite a lot of children's cakes, which I love to do because I get to make creative and colourful cakes and it is always fun to see a child's reaction to receiving a cake that has been made especially for them. Happy birthday Caitlyn and Heath

Hi there. I make cakes for all occasions, just give me an idea and I will turn it into a cake for your celebration. Email me at kiwihails@yahoo.com or call me on 0406076707.
Cakes are my passion, and I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I hold myself to a high standard.
Cakes all vary in price depending on time and skill involved, so I quote on an individual basis. Generally cakes start from $100 up as I only use top quality ingredients and all cakes are layered with chocolate ganache, also I have to add on my Labour (which for some detailed cakes a lot of time is involved from baking the cake to ganaching it and then icing and decorating - a detailed 3 tier wedding cake can take up to 7 hours in total)
Flavours are Chocolate Mudcake, White Choc Mud, Orange Mud, Jaffa Mud, Caramel Mud, Banana. If there is another flavour you are after please let me know.
